Swiss Biotech Association: Digital strategy, web app, CRM
The Swiss Biotech Association (SBA) represents the interests of individual members of the Swiss biotech industry vis-à-vis authorities and associations in Switzerland and abroad. The association promotes the technical and professional knowledge as well as the personal relationships of its members. It ensures that the value of the Swiss biotech industry continues to grow and that it makes a key contribution to a sustainable economy and to securing Switzerland's key role in the life sciences.
With its modular structure, cost-saving online tools and open source components, the industry association's new digital strategy "simplifies all areas of business".

Goals
The core objective was to define an IT strategy for all areas of the association. This included
- a complete online company directory as a central feature for the Swiss biotech sector with around a thousand companies, which is also produced annually as a print edition
- the requirements catalog of the CRM including newsletter connection
- the online presence of the two brands "Swiss Biotech" as an industry platform and "Swiss Biotech Association" with exclusive offers for members
- event management, including an online agenda and a solution for ticketing and registration
Implementation as a web app
A dynamic Wep app was designed and implemented, on which all the latest news is immediately visible, including a newsletter link and event calendar. The website promotes the exchange of information between Swiss Biotech members and serves as a platform for current news relating to the Swiss biotech industry. The development of a cloud-based CRM database also enables new members and changes to be updated as quickly and securely as possible.
